SEPTEMBER OCTOBER 2008 Edition Fall is approaching around
the corner!
It’s been a great summer! Many traveling quilter’s, have taken to the road this summer and have come in to visit us here at the shop. It’s so great to hear news stories from around the world like England, Ireland, and Texas etc. Each one sharing their quilting experiences, new projects, new fabrics, it’s been a true delight for us. Fall is in the air, and we have a great lineup of classes coming this September. We are going to introduce some circle quilts such as our round butterfly and tree skirt. We will also will be introducing the braid quilt technique and finish it off by quilting it in sections. The carry-all-bag will fit an 18 X 24 mat, this will be introduced as well, it will make it easier on those of you coming to classe! All your supplies will fit into one easy homemade bag! We have some of the traditional techniques in place such as quilt as you go, strip quilts and projects just for Christmas. Don’t forget we will be having a demo day in October on the heirloom quilt the ‘Wedding Ring’, based on the template by Marti Mitchell. Oh, and mark your calendars for a night of crazy quilting! This will give you an easy way to sew up those scraps that you have been saving! Shh… don’t let your husbands see how many bags of scraps you bring out to class!
